KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE
The Church Council of Bairnsdale Uniting Church, are committed to Keeping Children Safe, and, as such, have formally adopted the policy of the Uniting Church.
Each Church Council member has signed a Code of Conduct form and adopted the Statement of Commitment.

Each Church Council member, and leaders within the congregation, hold current Working With Children’s Checks.
All children who are involved in our activities, services, events or programs have the right to feel and be safe.
Bairnsdale Uniting Church is committed to providing safe environments where children are cared for, respected, nurtured and sustained.
We have zero tolerance of all forms of child abuse and will do all in our power to safeguard children from abuse.
Bairnsdale Uniting Church commits itself to the creation and maintenance of a child-safe culture to ensure the care, protection and safety of all children engaging with the Church in any of its entities.
We clearly affirm our commitment to uphold the law, which includes the requirement to report abuse to the appropriate authorities.
